Last day of March

This was the scene out on the lake this morning. We still have lots of ice on the lake and snow on the ground. Of course, it was raining today, so maybe that means this cold stuff will be melting away!

Ha! I made a rhyme.

We had a couple of mallard ducks out in front of the house this morning. maybe it's because we have one of the few places with no ice in front, because of the two creeks on each side of the property.

Walk around BLUE

It was a pretty morning for a walk.

You can see our Chalet across the lake.
"R" has been really wanting to get out on his bike. The last few days, the snow and ice has melted enough to do that. However, today... we got a few more inches of snow.
Don't worry. It will be gone soon!

What we did for Easter!

Cut down a TREE, of course!

The tree fell over our picnic table about 6 weeks ago, or so. It's been too cold and snowy to go out there and cut it up... So, we waited.

Easter Sunday ended up being a great day, weather-wise.

Here's "H". She looks like she's growing a beard.

Whoopy! We saved the picnic table!
" R" hit around a chewed up tennis ball.

Love/Hate Relationship

Izzy and Dixie have a strange relationship. Izzy can sometimes be lovey-dovey and the next minute she is punching at the dogs, when they get too close. This was one of her lovey-dovey moments!

Couple of photos from our Oklahoma Trip

Oklahoma was a pretty town to visit. They even had a river-boat in the down town area. Interesting! Oh, and if you want to have some awesome Italian food, you have to visit Zio's Italian Kitchen. Excellent Food!

We Made It To Oklahoma

Well... We made it. What a long ride!!! We left at 4 pm yesterday and arrived at about 2:30 today. 4.5 hours later than we were supposed to.

The other bus we were with, broke down 4 times, with some sort of computer issue. Each time we were delayed 20 to 30 minutes. The last time, we were delayed 2.5 hours.

Anyway, we made is safe and sound. We look forward to getting a good nights sleep. Trying to sleep on the bus was nearly impossible with all the delays and the uncomfortable sleeping conditions.

Posting from my Blackberry, I'll update soon.

On our way to Oklahoma

Well... Jim and I are sitting on a bus on our way to Oklahoma. Actually, we are on your way to Grand Rapids and then on our way to Oklahoma.

We're in for a long trip, but we'll hopefully be sleeping along the way. Most of the drive will be through the night hours and we should be arriving around 10 am tomorrow morning.

This is a business trip. This should be an interesting trip. There are a lot of people crammed on this bus. I hope to post photos when I have access to my computer. Right now, I am posting this to my blog with the use of my Blackberry phone.

Have a great evening!

Sledding at Blue...

Last Saturday Sunrise (March 1st)

Last weekend was a great time for sledding! Our neighbors were up from Ann Arbor that weekend (I sold them their cottage, through real estate a couple years ago).

7 kids with 7 sleds!

Watch out girls!

Sledding hill in the woods!

Lots of FUN!
