Beautiful FALL Weekend at the Chalet

We finally got our peak fall colors this weekend. It was sort of late this year, because it's been so warm.

The trees were vibrant orange and gold!

This weekend was also Blue Lake's trick-or-treat night.

We had a couple of ScArY Children! BOOOO!

Here they are at their first trick-or-treat stop. What a beautiful evening! The fall colors were amazing!

Here's Jim walking backwards.

Titus and Izzy even got along!
And here is our sleepy head after fishing on Sunday night. We did catch two more trout, by the way! I just forgot my camera!

Fishing Blue Lake!

Last night we decided to use up the night crawlers that have been in our refrigerator for a few weeks. We went Trout Fishing!

Well... Heather and I did more sitting around looking at our poles, than anything. Actually, I caught 2 Bluegills. NO TROUT! Jim & Ryan did all of the trout catching!

Here is Jim bringing in his trout. Ryan had caught one earlier.

We didn't measure them, but Jim's was a tad bigger.

(Attack of the TROUT!) Ha ha!

Jim fillet the fish and we put them on the grill! They were YUMMY!!!

Then we watched the sun set.

Actually, the sun didn't set where you see the orange clouds. It set on the other side of the lake, behind us and the sun was reflecting off of the clouds. It looked really neat.

Fall Walks

One of my favorite places to walk in Gladwin County!

Isn't this place BEAUTIFUL!?!

Here is a picture of a beaver den, along the cedar trees.

What a lovely sunrise!
Here is a pair of swans with their two youngsters. The babies are still gray, but are now the size of their parents.
Here is one of the trails along my walk. I'm looking down hill.

I love pine trees.

I thought this pattern of moss on the ground was interesting. It made for a neat looking photo.

Another view of the lake.

Yost Apple Orchard

Last weekend, while Grandma Phillips was up, we visited the Yost Apple Orchard.

Of course, you can see that this was after the kid's soccer games.

It was a beautiful afternoon to go to the orchard.

Last year the orchard was closed. We were so happy to see it opened back up again!

CHEEEEZZZZZEEE!

Here's the kids with Grandma!

Kids Soccer

Both of the kids are in soccer this fall. They are both enjoying their games.
Surprisingly, they both got the same number this year. This was just a fluke.

So, we have 6 and 6!
