Jim & Ivie at Mt Rock Fest, Farwell Michigan!

You know... sometimes you just have to take a break from the craziness of work... and that's just what my husband and I did last week! We went to the very FIRST Mt Rock Fest in Farwell MI from July 19th to the 22nd!

We met CHICAGO in person!!!

Click on photo for a larger view.

I thought that the Mt Rock Fest was worthy of it's own BLOG, since I posted so many photos. Visit http://mtrockfestphotos.blogspot.com/ for TONS of photos! There's even a link to their web site. Keep an eye on the web site in September! They will have the band line-up for July 2008. I heard some inside information that they are going to try to get "Journey" to play there next summer. Wouldn't that be great?!?!

We enjoyed watching Def Leppard ~ Styx ~ REO Speedwagon ~ Chicago ~ Deep Purple ~ Grand Funk Railroad ~ Collective Soul ~ Third Eye Blind & more! Visit my BLOG for more photos!

4th of July Weekend!

We started out our weekend with a few deer near the house Friday morning. Here is a doe with her twin fawns. They seemed unconcerned that I was standing next to our house taking pictures of them.

Friday evening, we had a "Fish Boil" out on Bob & Tera's boat. Our boat was used as the dining area. The poured a mountain of seafood in the middle of a table and chowed down! We had shrimp, scallops, crab legs and crawl-dads. YUMMY!

Here's Bob, "Vanna Whiting" it!

Hey Bob! You want'a Coke?

Here are the kids doing what they do best! Swim and play!
We were pulled up to the island in Lake Lancer. That's where the kids played and we cooked dinner. Isn't life grand!

Here's a classic "Tera" picture! She's either holding up her hand or giving me the bird. Remember is classic Christmas Party Picture?
Now Tera! If you would have just smiled, I wouldn't have done that to you! Ha ha!

On Saturday, we went out on the boats and watched a spectacular fire works display! It was awesome!

And here are the kids, standing on our pontoon boat after the fireworks. We didn't get back home until almost 2 am. It was such a beautiful night! The stars in the sky were breath-taking!

And to end this Wacky weekend, here's Heather making a Wacky Face!
This kind of reminds me of someone... (You know who you are!)

Make A Wish Foundation Donations

The kids are at it again!

This July 4th, the kids are having their 5th annual Lemonade Sale!

This year, they decided to donate to the Make A Wish Foundation!

We'll be sending the donations to the Michigan Chapter.

This photo was taken at the lemonade sale last year. The proceeds from last years sale were donated to a friend of ours through the Eagles Club, to help with the medical expenses incurred during cancer treatments.

Please stop by the Lemonade stand at 5491 Huntington Way, next to the Sugar Springs Craft Show, on Saturday June 7th from 10 am to 2 pm to make a donation and to get a nice cold glass of lemonade!!!

If you can't make it to the craft show, feel free to make a donation online at http://www.wishmich.org/

Have a Happy and Safe Weekend!!!

Please feel free to call Ivie for more info at 989-426-1528

Fishing Adventures on Blue Lake!

Look at these smiling facing with their fish! Here's Ryan's friend holding up one of the many fish he caught last Saturday evening. This was one DANDY of a Bluegill! Nice catch, buddy!
And here's Ryan with one of the bass he caught with a night crawler. It was about an 11 incher but he had fun pulling it in!
And here's the only perch caught that night. It was still a nice perch. We probably caught 50-60 fish, all together that night (maybe more). We lost count! The boys kept me busy taking fish off the hooks and putting new worms on them. We threw all the fish back. We'll catch them again!

FUNNY FACES! Silly Kids!

Board kids will make funny faces!
